Happy Good Lucky

I am re-posting these interviews from SXSW 2008, where I asked attendees about there music collecting habits.

There seems to be a general consensus among the people I spoke with. If you paid for the song in question on vinyl, cassette, or any other format, you are entitled to a ‘un-paid-for’ digital copy without moral consequence. Most feel that while transferring copies Peer to Peer is probably illegal, to do so when you just want to discover new music - or expose others to new music - is a good thing.

There’s construction work going on in Atwater Village this past week in the space next to Viet Noodle Bar (3313 Glendale Blvd.) I’m told (and I hope the story is true) is that the Viet Noodle Bar is expanding to open a Bánh mì sandwich shop here.

Bahn mi if you have never tried one, is a great culinary invention. KP’s Vietnamese American Deli on Hyperion made these Vietnamese sandwiches but closed down last year. KP’s were pretty good. I have higher hopes for this place based on the Pho next door.

I just downloaded the new Wordpress app for iPhone. I expect this will be a watershed moment in my blogging career. Or not.

I expect the next moment like this to be - I don’t know, Cut and Paste? As I write this from my phone it occurs to me what it was to like to write before word processors, BEFORE cut and paste. Maybe I will just go slower.
